Researchers in the Physical Sciences Department at VIMS have been working with Incogen, an Information Technology Firm, to develop an informatics solution to make physical data from the Lower Bay and its tributaries available to the public in real-time. Data presently available in real-time includes current velocity and direction, wind and weather data, tide and wave height, and water quality.
These data can currently be viewed and downloaded through VIMS website at http://chsd.vims.edu/realtime/
