Cruises have been completed monthly from May to October 2003, from April to October 2004, April to October 2005, March to November 2007, and March to November 2008. YRKMH (>5-18 ppt) Middle York River Mesohaline
The YRKMH segment extends from the boundary of the polyhaline segment just above Cheatham Annex at a boundary extending from Blundering Point, north of the mouth of Carter’s Creek on the north shore to a point on the south shore below Queen’s Creek. It extends up river to the mouths of the Mattaponi and Pamunkey Rivers at West Point (to the Lord Delaware and Eltham Bridges). There are two continuous monitoring stations in this segment, one at Clay Bank and one just inside the mouth of Taskinas Creek at York River State Park.
