POTOH (>0.5-5 ppt) Potomac Oligohaline

The POTMH segment extends from the boundary with the mesohaline segment across the river 0.65 miles northwest of the town of Popes Creek across the river to a point 1 mile southeast of Mathias Point, just north of Route 639, upriver to the boundary with the tidal fresh segment midway between Shipping Point and the Quantico Pier on the western shore to 1000 feet southwest of Moss Point on the eastern shore. There is one continuous monitoring station in Potomac Creek, a Virginia tributary of the Potomac River. Area: 83.00 square miles
