Lafayette River DFLO LAFMH (Lafayette River Polyhaline) – The initial cruise took place in March 2008. Cruises were completed from March to September 2008. Cruises are scheduled for 2009. Data will be posted as it becomes available. This segment is monitored by the Hampton Roads Sanitation District (Virginia Beach, VA) under the management of Mr. Will Hunley.

LAFMH (>5-19 ppt) Lafayette Mesohaline

The Lafayette River Mesohaline segment begins at the boundary of the Elizabeth River Polyhaline Segment, extending from Tanners Point on the northern shore to 1400 feet due east of light southeast of Tanners Point on the southern shore. It extends upriver to Calvary Cemetery, 3400 feet upstream of Route 168. There are no continuous monitoring stations in this segment at this time. Total Area: 8.17 square miles
