About the Presenters
Barry Rabe is Professor of Public Policy at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, University of Michigan, and a Senior Fellow in Governance Studies at the Brookings Institution. Dr. Rabe will present on the institutional challenges and opportunities of climate governance and regional governance, in general, within the U.S. system of Federalism. He will discuss recent advances in the climate governance debate and the transition to the Obama Administration.

Chris Borick is Associate Professor of Political Science and Director of the Public Opinion Research Center at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Dr. Borick will present recent public opinion survey research on climate change and policy preferences among Americans, including comparisons between Virginia and other states.

Troy Hartley is Virginia Sea Grant Director and a Research Associate Professor at VIMS. Dr. Hartley will present network analysis research on integrated fisheries and watershed management cases and discuss current models of regional governance in the Chesapeake Bay and the Mid-Atlantic Ocean.
