Workshop: Understanding Storm Tides and Sea Level Change
On July 30, 2009, Virginia Sea Grant sponsored "Understanding Storm Tides and Sea Level Change." The workshop highlighted researchers from Virginia Institute of Marine Sciences and their work in tide monitoring and storm tide prediction. Drs. John Boon, John Brubaker, and David Forrest are currently working to put on-going tide monitoring data online, giving communities' access to information on water levels in the lower Chesapeake Bay.
