Fellowships for Graduate Students (now open)

  • National Marine Fisheries-Sea Grant Fellowship in Marine Resource Economics. Submit hardcopy of proposals with signed cover sheet to Virginia Sea Grant Offices as well as electronic copy (PDF) to vsgproposals@vims.edu by 20 January 2009. For information, go to grants.gov and enter Opportunity # OAR-SG-2009-2001574.
  • National Marine Fisheries-Sea Grant Joint Graduate Fellowship Program in Population Dynamics. Submit hardcopy of proposals with signed cover sheet to Virginia Sea Grant Offices as well as electronic copy (PDF) to vsgproposals@vims.edu by 20 January 2009.   • Dean John Knauss Marine Policy Fellowships. Submit applications to Virginia Sea Grant by 20 February 2009. For information, go to grants.gov and enter Opportunity # OAR-SG-2010-2001562. Any student planning to apply for this program should
    1) read and carefully follow Virginia Sea Grant submission instructions.
    2) read the full funding announcement (see grants.gov link and Opportunity #, above) and
    3) contact Lee Larkin (Assistant Director, Virginia Sea Grant; larkin@vims.edu) to disucss the application process and requirements at least a month before the due date.
  • In partnership with NOAA's Coastal Services Center, Virginia Sea Grant accepts applications for Coastal Management Fellowships. Submit applications to Virginia Sea Grant by 26 January 2009. Visit project website for more information.
