Policies for Funded Investigators
If you receive funding from Virginia Sea Grant, you have the following responsibilities in addition to completing your research objectives:
- Reporting Policy. You will be asked to complete an annual progress report each year the project remains underway and a final report after the funding period ends.
- Publications Policy. You must provide Virginia Sea Grant with electronic or hard copies of any publications resulting from your work, and should acknowledge Virginia Sea Grant and NOAA as indicated.
- Should you require additional time to complete your funded research, you should send the Virginia Sea Grant Director a request for an extension, in writing, no later than 2 months prior to the project's end date. Include the reson for the request, the time requested, any change to the scope of work requested, and a budget reallocation form (if appropriate).
- Should you wish to reallocate funds between line items in your budget, please submit a Budget Reallocation Form (Excel file) to the Virginia Sea Grant Director.
